History:
Kusum Sarovar's history is deeply intertwined with the legends of Lord Krishna and Radha. According to folklore, Radha and Krishna used to meet at this very spot to pick flowers (kusum) and engage in playful activities. The sarovar gained prominence during the reign of the Jat rulers in the 18th century. Raja Suraj Mal's queen, Kishori, constructed several monuments around the kund, including the beautiful chattris dedicated to the royal family. These structures showcase the exquisite craftsmanship of the era and stand as a testament to the region's rich cultural heritage. The sarovar has since been renovated and maintained, preserving its historical and spiritual significance.
