History:
Nicholas Roerich, a Russian painter, writer, archaeologist, and philosopher, arrived in Kullu Valley in 1928 and established his estate in Naggar. After his death in 1947, his son Svetoslav Roerich and daughter-in-law Devika Rani continued to maintain the estate and promote Roerich's art.
