History:
Kangra Fort boasts a history spanning over a thousand years, tracing back to the Katoch dynasty, who claim descent from the ancient Trigarta Kingdom mentioned in the Mahabharata. It withstood numerous sieges and attacks throughout its existence, including those by Mahmud of Ghazni, the Delhi Sultanate, and the Mughal Empire.
