History:
The Pinjore Garden's history dates back to the 17th century when it was originally created by the Mughals. It is believed to have been built by Fidai Khan, a renowned architect and governor during the reign of Aurangzeb. However, the garden fell into disrepair after the decline of the Mughal Empire. In the 18th century, the Maharaja of Patiala, Yadavindra Singh, restored the garden to its former glory. He redesigned the landscape, adding elements of European and Japanese garden styles, giving it the unique blend of architectural influences that it boasts today. The garden was then renamed Yadavindra Gardens in his honor. Today, it stands as a testament to the rich history and cultural heritage of the region.
