History:

Sadhana Forest was founded in 2003 by Aviram Rozin and Yorit Rozin. Their vision was to transform a severely eroded and deforested land near Auroville into a thriving ecosystem. Inspired by the principles of permaculture and veganism, they started planting indigenous trees and implementing water conservation techniques. The project quickly attracted volunteers from around the world, creating a diverse and dedicated community. Over the years, Sadhana Forest has planted tens of thousands of trees, restored groundwater levels, and educated countless individuals about sustainable living practices. It has become a model for ecological restoration and a testament to the power of collective action.
